Moab Trails Volume III
Rick Russell’s Off Highway Adventure Video Series now includes a third Moab video that features Hell’s Revenge Trail, rated Most Difficult, which traverses slickrock and sandy washes. The 4×4 trail also crisscrosses the famous “Slickrock Bike Trail.” Both trails make steep climbs and descents that keep you at the edge of your seat during most of the trip. The final obstacle is Tip-Over Challenge, which has a bypass for the faint of heart.
The Moab Rim Trail is rated Most Difficult. It begins just south of Moab along the Colorado River. The first mile scales the edge of the mountain. The narrow sections with a cliff on one side, tight turns, and ledges to climb, make this trail both challenging and exciting. As the trail gains altitude, the views become spectacular until finally reaching a vista overlooking the town of Moab. >From there the trail loops through sand hills and over slickrock before returning to the top of rim for the trip back down.
Pritchett Canyon Trail is the most difficult trail run by the the Red Rock 4-Wheelers during the Easter Safari. The side hills, steep climbs and ledges keep this trail at the top of the “Must Run” list for hardcore 4-wheelers. Our video captures all the action including several rollovers.
The best way to become familiar with Moab trails is by attending one of The Red Rock 4-Wheeler Club’s annual events. The Easter Safari is the largest trail ride event in the U.S.A. The second and smaller event is the Labor Day Camp Out. After watching this video you’ll be planning your own trip to Moab, Utah.
