Speed Industries Kawasaki BOB

The Beard Family started Beard Seats over 20 years ago. One at a time, they made a unique suspension-style seat for the off-road enthusiast. Since then, they have continued to add options and enhancements to meet market demands. RedArt Corporation, the parent company of Beard Seats, continues its commitment to the off-road industry with its Speed Industries line of RUV products. Speed Industries designs accessories for Side X Sides that improve performance and convenience, while maintaining the OEM look.
As part of their commitment to motor sports and the off-road environment, RedArt/Beard Seats/Speed Industries supports SCORE, CORR, UROC, MDR, MORE, SNORE, ORBA, and the ASA. Their sponsored teams, including Side X Side racers, sport Speed Industries performance products out on the track. Their complete line includes vehicle-specific seats and mounting kits, steering, exhaust, tool bags, limiting straps, adjustable clevis, and recovery straps.
The Teryx that Speed Industries designed for the Battle of the Builders features nearly every one of their own products, along with those from other partnered manufacturers. The factory plastics, along with a Maier Smooth Tailgate Cover, were painted by Straight Edje, who set the style with shiny red paint and black and silver striping. The helmets were painted to match the custom design. Four Maxxis tires on black HiPer Technology Sidewinder beadlock wheels give the vehicle a serious, aggressive look, while the spare tire has a flashier red beadlock to match the paint. A coordinating red Beard bimini top provides shade without rattle or vibration.
The exterior is protected with a Speed Industries front bumper and skid plate, which stays in line with the spirit of the build and incorporates the LED lighting system (a Vision-X 12” light). A Speed Industries Baja cage extension/bumper completes the protection system. A Speed Industries spare tire articulating mount and their prototype cargo rack provide storage. A Speed Industries light bar clamped overhead holds Vision-X LED lighting and is also OEM-cage-compatible.
Performance enhancements include CST Suspension and Elka Elite 4-way adjustable shocks to make the bumps go away. A Big Gun Evo Dual Slip-On Sport Utility Exhaust adds a little horsepower, looks good, and keeps the Teryx from loading up. A Dynatech CDI box adds even a little more horsepower in an effort to balance the power to the additional weight.
Inside the vehicle, the driver and passenger will find many Beard and Speed Industries products. Beard Super-T1 front seats with Beard OEM headrest covers are mounted on Beard Teryx seat adaptors. Speed Industries belt relocators insure a better location for the Crow harnesses to be tightened through the seat. A Speed Industries steering wheel and shift knob enhance driver control and comfort. The driver can plan for the road ahead with a Lowrance 5” color-screen GPS unit and see what is behind with a Speed Industries rear view mirror.
The Speed Industries Teryx reflects their dedication to the off-road industry and their involvement in the racing community. It is designed for a recreational enthusiast, but could be tweaked to become a racing machine.
